The Bahá’í Chair for Studies in Development is organizing a series of webinars on the social and economic impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on India’s most vulnerable populations in rural and urban areas. The first of these webinars organized on 11 July 2020 was titled‘𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙢: 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙖 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙐𝙧𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣’.. The webinar explored the various dimensions of the challenge with urban development in India. Deliberations were focused on the dual need to bring about structural changes to make urban spaces more inclusive and to transform the way the urban poor are conceived in development thinking and urban policies.
